Holiday Sessions in Review

It was a great holiday mini session season!!! I have to admit, that it wore me out. That is why I'm FINALLY getting around to posting pictures! I love snapping pictures of all of these cute families. And it's even more fun when they arrive in the mail in the form of Christmas cards.

Here are a few of my favorites from each session...Enjoy!

Here is a fun creative session and design I did as well. I LOVE this!!

Tuesday

New Session Available!

For a long time I've been toying with the idea of making sessions available the way I do my own family photography. Usually once a year I do a full session for me and my family. However, during the rest of the year my photography consists of doing a quick shoot to get one great photo for my son's birthday invitation. Or doing a quick shoot to get one great photo of all my children for a Mother's Day card for our grandmas. Or doing a quick shoot to get one great photo of my two daughters to fill the space on the wall in their bedroom. Or doing a quick shoot to get one great photo of that really creative shot I've been envisioning for weeks. You get the idea.

I've found that my clients would love to have the opportunity to get specific shots of their family and children without having to do a full session. Which would allow greater opportunities to utilize photography more often. Plus I LOVE when my clients have their own creative vision and want my help to execute what they see in their head.

So here's the new session info...

This is what I want shot
10-15 minute session
1 image in full-res on a disc
Photo release and printing rights

Here is the shot I've been envisioning for weeks...Avery as The Princess and the Frog. I'm in love!

Happy Valentines Day!

Holy cow time flies when you have a baby to occupy ALL your time! I can't believe my last post was in November and now it's Valentines. The last 3 months have been a whirlwind. Little Owen arrived safe and sound the day after Thanksgiving. I've taken pictures of him but for some reason they've never made it into editing.

We did a Christmas card. I know....a little late for posting but I still want to share it.

And I did get on the ball and create some fun Valentines.

This one was for my husband, grandmas, and grandpas.

And here are the Valentine's for my kids to hand out at school.

Silly Kids

This was my last session til this baby comes...I'm exhausted, but have definitely enjoyed all the holiday sessions!

These kids have SO much personality! They had me laughing with all their silly faces and smiles. But one thing is for sure, they LOVE their little sister! She's got 3 protectors and with that cute face, she's going to need their help to keep all the boys away.

We spent the evening on their grandparents' farm, which is such a neat place to take pictures. I especially love the picture of all of them on their grandpa's favorite tractor.

Thanks Mark and Rachel for sharing your fun kids!

Monday

The Whole Clan

I always love the atmosphere of large family shoots. There always is lots of joking, light-hearted teasing, and you can easily feel the love everyone has for each other. This family was no exception! I could tell they have a good time when they get together, which makes the shoot so much more fun!

Thanks Swain family for letting me share some laughs and capture some memories of your fun bunch!

Sunday

Sisters

Can two sisters be any cuter?  I met this sweet family about a year ago to do a maternity session.  Taylor captured the camera with her sweet smile and now little Teagan can melt your heart with those big brown eyes. Together, those girls could probably get whatever they want! Watch out mom and dad!

Thanks Missy and George for sharing your girls with me!

Wednesday

More Mini Sneak Peeks!

I've been lucky enough to watch this little family grow over the years...from taking maternity shots of the first pregnancy to both newborns and mixing in a few family pictures along the way. They are just too cute for words!
